It was a nail biting game; our U11s faced stiff competition against the Holy Cross Prep School in the Regional Semi-finals of the Sisters in Sport National Cup on 18th January.
After the first half, Wally girls had managed to secure a four goal lead, but the pressure was on to secure the win. Holy Cross put on a great display of netball, turning over many balls and feeding into the circle with great precision.
Wally girls stepped up their game even further, showing great athleticism and team work to see themselves seven goals ahead going into the last quarter. The girls worked even harder in the final ten minutes showing fantastic movement down the court, and achieving an excellent 25-17 scoreline to secure a place in the Regional Finals of the competition.
This match will be played in the next couple of weeks. Well done to the whole squad on this fantastic achievement.
