The Music Department is proud to announce that Bea in Year 8 was awarded the highest mark in the Vocal Recital category at the Tunbridge Wells Arts Festival recently, to win the prestigious Ruth Tyson Memorial Prize.
Bea has singing lessons with Mrs Clements at Walthamstow Hall. This was the first time she had taken part in the competition and she found herself up against girls older than herself.
She sang pieces by Schubert, Torelli and Orlando Gibbons for her winning performance.
