Fingers crossed for good weather as eight Year 12s do their practice Duke of Edinburgh Gold expedition in Dartmoor this weekend.
The students will pitch their tents, cook their own food and undergo intensive navigation training with qualified mountain rangers from Tonbridge Gold. They will spend two nights under canvas and return late on Sunday. Five other teams from local Kent schools will be doing the same training.
A further 90 Walthamstow Hall students, from Years 9 and 10 will be doing their Bronze expedition practice this weekend too. They will hike through Knole and Kemsing before camping in the North Downs. Many thanks to our staff who are giving their time generously to help out.
