We were thrilled to receive this photo from 2018 Leaver Sophie today who was presented with her Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award at a presentation at Buckingham Palace yesterday morning. Sophie enjoyed ‘a lovely chat with the Duke of Gloucester, followed by the presentation by Dany Cotton, Commissioner for the London Fire-brigade’.
Reflecting on her Gold Duke of Edinburgh experience and the Walthamstow Hall Duke of Edinburgh team led by Mr Ramsden, Sophie said, ‘I had a fantastic time and I wanted to thank you for all you have done – I would not have achieved this without you! You were such an inspiration to me to keep going all the way to gold.’
We are so proud of you Sophie, very well done indeed.
