The Junior School has had a very special visitor: Rosie the donkey who helped bring Christmas to life just by turning up.
Girls came out in managed classes to avoid spooking Rosie, who is not yet five years old.
Huge thanks to Rosie’s owner, Mrs Owlett for making the visit and to three times Wally parent Mrs Lewis – who is Mrs Owlett’s former neighbour – for organising this treat for us.
We learnt a few donkey facts: they can live for up to 50 years (much longer than horses) and their coats aren’t waterproof, so it’s very important they have proper shelter in winter.
