Three mice played a big part in the Early Years’ Christingle service this year as they led the whole cast in singing “We’re looking for a little bit of cheese“.
This jazzy, syncopated number was performed three times, until one clever mouse pointed out it was “Baby Cheesus” that they really needed.
There were sheep, cows – who sang “Moo moo moo, what a thing to do!” – and of course donkeys, who told of their big journey from Nazareth to Bethlehem.
The story was deftly narrated by three Year 6 girls, whose presence on stage helped steady the School’s very youngest performers.
After Mary and Joseph arrived with Baby Jesus, it was time for everyone in the hall to join in singing Away in a Manger, before the Christingles were lit for the rest of the service.
A big thank you to everyone involving in helping the girls prepare for this lovely production. Thanks also to Wally parent and photographer Adrian Clarke for the use of his beautiful photos. adrianclarkephotography.co.uk
