Congratulations to swimmers Imogen and Sophie for their efforts at the Kent County Championships – Imogen won a silver medal in the 50m breaststroke.
The top 28 swimmers in each age group, event and gender across Kent are invited to these Championships, based on their times recorded at official events over the previous year.
Imogen qualified for three events in the girls’ 10/11 age group: 100m breaststroke, 100m backstroke and 50m breaststroke. She came fourth in the 100m breaststroke and second overall – winning silver – in the 50m breaststroke. This is a fantastic achievement, well done Imogen.
Sophie qualified for seven events in the 10/11 age category: 50m breaststroke, backstroke, freestyle and butterfly, 100m backstroke and freestyle and 200m backstroke. Out of these, Sophie achieved PBs (Personal Best Times) in four events. Again, a superb effort, well done Sophie.
