Lacrosse
Well done to all the teams who represented the School at this year’s National Lacrosse Finals: Seniors, U15s and U14s.
The Seniors need special congratulations: after finishing second in their pool (which included a draw against St Alban’s), the team went on to beat Stowe 7-1 to reach the quarter finals, and then beat St Georges Harpenden 6-5 to reach the semi-finals.
The semi-final proved a difficult match, with a number of injuries to our team, the final score being 5-3 to St Paul’s (who then went on to win the final).
Walthamstow Hall finished an outstanding 3rd in Division 1 at the National School’s Senior Finals, well done all.
Swimming
Congratulations to our U13 and U15 swim squads who had a convincing win at home against Kent College. It was a very competitive match with wins for: Imogen, Gabriela, Danielle and Melissa. Walthamstow Hall also won 4 of the 5 relay events including the squadron.
The final results per category:
Walthamstow Hall | Kent College |
Juniors 50 | Juniors 38 |
Intermediates 70 | Intermediates 38 |
Total: 120 | Total: 78 |
Congratulations to everyone on an excellent performance, all swimmers played their part in a decisive win on the day with several students having to swim up an age group.
Football
Well done to the U13 football squad who played in a tournament on Wednesday. They had a number of strong wins against Bennett Memorial, St Gregory’s and Trinity. We are currently 3rd in the league with a few more matches to go.
