Performances in our own Ship Theatre and trips to other theatres further afield are usually a constant presence in our School calendar. In the current absence of live Drama Mrs Bower-Morris, our Head of Drama, has put together a film guide to the incredible plays and musical theatre which students can currently watch online. As well as the weekly streaming from the National Theatre (including Jane Eyre and Twelfth Night), Mrs B-M highlights fortnightly streams from The Globe (Hamlet, A Midsummer Night’s Dream), The RSC’s performances available via BBC iPlayer (Frankenstein, Macbeth, Othello), Chichester Festival Theatre’s Flowers for Mrs Harris and Birmingham Rep’s The Importance of Being Earnest. Musical Theatre fans can watch one of Andrew Lloyd-Webber’s show stoppers each week via his ‘The Shows Must Go On’ feed. Listen to what Mrs B-M has to say in this short film.
