Junior School pupils somersaulted, cycled, ran, stretched and jumped their way through the Easter holidays as part of the Action Shot Challenge, set by Head of Junior School PE, Mrs Vickers. Pupils were encouraged to send in photos showing how they were staying active during the lock down. A particular mention for Emily S who took part in a virtual race hosted by Adam Peaty to raise funds for the NHS. Emily and her older sister Alice did a relay ride and together cycled 100km in 3hrs 54 minutes. Emily also took part in Geraint Thomas’ 3 day event, where he cycled for 12 hours a day over 3 days, to mirror the shift pattern of an NHS worker. In the session that Emily joined she covered 30.1km in 1hr 55. Geraint Thomas’ ride has raised over £300k for the NHS. Well done Emily on a fantastic week of exercise and fundraising!
