We have been contacted by the son of an old girl who would love to hear from any school friends of his late mother, Ruth Francis Martin (née Hill). Ruth lived in Kemsing and then Otford as a child and was at Walthamstow Hall Senior School from 1970 – 1975. After leaving school Ruth trained as a Nurse and then a Key Stage 2 teacher, enjoying a long career and later becoming a SENCO. She was also a local councillor in Gravesham and had been recently re-elected before she died after a period of illness in August 2019.
Ruth’s son Tom would dearly love to hear from anyone who was with Ruth during her time at Walthamstow Hall. Tom does not know a great deal about his Mum’s school years, so anyone with memories or photos is greatly encouraged to get in touch via email at tommyjayburgess@aol.com.
