Meet the new Head Girl Team for the Junior School. Anna and her deputies Ella and Emily will hold the positions for the whole School year.
The girls collected their badges during a Year 6 assembly with Miss Ferro. The assembly was opened by Sophia and Lucy reading a prayer to which all the year group had contributed:
Dear Lord
Thank you that we are all together again and a special thank you to those who are working to keep us safe. We are grateful for the education and opportunities we have at School. Please give us the confidence and resilience to face any new challenges this year. We ask this in your name,
Amen.
Miss Ferro then read a poem by Christopher Logue and encouraged girls to decipher its meaning: trying something new, not fearing failure – and bouncing back from disappointment. Miss Ferro told the girls, “If we support one another, we will have a fantastic year!”.
