The rain mainly held off for Year 4’s trip to Willow’s Bird of Prey Centre in Knockholt. Girls saw a flying owl display and had a private demonstration of Micah the Macaque, Haas the Mexican Golden Eagle and a number of falcons, hawks and beautiful owls, along with a ferret.
The trip supported girls’ learning in Science and Art, where they are studying birds and habitats. They showed beautiful manners and smiles all day and gave good feedback:
“It was really magnificent! The macaque was a copycat!”
“I enjoyed seeing one of the birds who was trailing the owners as if he were a dog.”
“I enjoyed the trip more than I thought I would, because it was so interesting and amusing!”
