Year 1 and Year 2 travelled around the world this week, exploring a range of weird and wonderful animals. In their workshop Living things and the Rainforest they explored a selection of habitats and the animals that live in them, through a range of drama activities and games.
Both classes collaborated to come up with some very creative ideas, it was great fun watching the pupils decide what animal they would be from a particular part of the world and then act it out. Their drama skills extended to demonstrating the differences between plants found at each of the four different layers in a rainforest. We are looking forward to putting all our new learning into action in the classroom for our Science, World Studies and ‘Go Green’ Wellbeing lessons.
