Our beautiful Giving Tree references many good things. Firstly, it is our nod to National Tree Week starting on Saturday 28th November, which marks the tree-planting season and is a wonderful reminder of the benefits and beauty that trees bring to our planet.
The origami leaves on the tree were made by Senior School girls as part of Tuneup Tuesday, when they celebrated creativity and careers in the arts. Our Head of Design and Food, Mrs Evans used these leaves – plus a glue gun – to create our tree from a sycamore branch.
Finally, baskets representing the charities we support will be placed under the tree, from which students can choose a tag which will suggest a gift they can bring in for that charity.
