We are very proud of Wally Hall students who showed real initiative and hard work in getting involved in a big local operation to process and sort boxes for Operation Christmas Child this month. The well-established project, run by Samaritan’s Purse, was unable to distribute Christmas boxes to children in need at the usual festive time due to significant delays caused by Covid.
Mia in Year 12 originally found out that the project needed volunteers to help process the boxes and she spread the word to get fellow Wally Hall students involved. Students from across the year groups signed up for many shifts and alongside other volunteers have contributed to over 147,000 shoe boxes being processed. These are now on their way to children in Albania, Moldova, Bosnia, Serbia and Belarus.
A fantastic effort from all involved.
