Global vaccine distribution, violence in political protest and the weaponisation of information and the media. These are some of the weighty topics twelve of our Year 12 students wrestled to the ground this weekend, at the LSE Model UN conference.
This is where students assume the role of UN delegate and argue a case on behalf of whatever country they have been asked to represent. This year’s event was virtual, so the 200+ students involved debated into their laptop screens.
Three of our students argued their brief so well they won delegate awards. Congratulations to Emma, who represented South Korea at the Disarmament and International Security Committee, Aislinn who spoke for South Korea on the Social, Humanitarian and Cultural Issues Committee and to Madeleine who spoke for Brazil on the Human Rights Committee.
