Year 6 are enjoying all the outdoor activities on offer at Blacklands Farm in West Sussex.
On Tuesday they scaled the climbing wall, putting their teamwork skills to the test as they pulled their friends on the rope to help them to the top.
In Bushcraft, they learnt the essential survival skills of creating a fire with a flint and building a shelter to protect themselves against the volatile British weather. Their shelters were tested for structural fitness by having water thrown all over them.
Their final challenge was to crawl through a darkened tunnel maze, finding their way through the many junctions, twists and turns before emerging, blinking into the outside world. One pupil was heard to admit that she’d crawled through it so many times, she no longer minded the dark!
