Walthamstow Hall has been recognised for its outstanding Careers provision, in the form of the Quality in Careers Standard Award.
This is the national quality award for careers education, information, advice and guidance (“CEIAG”) for young people.
Pupils, staff, parents, the Bursar and the Governor for Careers were interviewed as part of the rigorous external assessment.
In her report, the independent assessor Gill Morrison said: “development, achievement and preparation for adult life is a key tenet of the school. As a result, careers work is recognised as essential and ‘in the DNA of the school’.”
The report noted that our programme offered a tailored approach, with the individual needs of students being met at all stages.
Gill Morrison also praised the “passion, energy and expertise” of our Careers Coordinator, Mrs Hayes as well as the enthusiasm and excitement of teaching staff at both Junior and Senior Schools, which enabled the careers message to be integrated into School life.
The award is valid for three years before reassessment is due.
