Lacrosse is firmly on the agenda at Wally with our new World Athlete Lacrosse Commission coach, Jane Lee, giving Masterclass sessions to our players. Jane was a member of the Korean national lacrosse team for many years and is currently the co-captain of Blues Lacrosse in the Southern England Women’s Premier League.
Lacrosse teams from right across the School have been enjoying their Autumn fixtures this term.
U12s at Putney High
Earlier this month, our Year 7 and 8 lacrosse players represented the School for the first time, against Putney High. More than 80 students in all year groups were involved in this away fixture and it was fabulous to see so many players enjoying a morning of lacrosse. Congratulations to the U15s for their 8-7 win.
Players at Abbot’s Hill
The U12 and U13 teams played in a tournament at Abbot’s Hill, Hertfordshire on 13th November. The U12s came joint 4th out of 8 teams and the U13s came 5th.
Every team played away at Claremont Fan Court School in Surrey on 20th November. We had impressive wins from our U18s and U15s. Our new U12 team were pipped at the post in a very close match, losing 7-8.
