We have received our first virtual plaques from the Queen’s Green Canopy for all our recent tree-planting within the School grounds.
Between them, our Gardening and Wildlife Clubs have planted cherry trees on the School’s southern perimeter, four fruit trees at EBH and a winter flowering cherry, hawthorn and crab apple opposite the Salmon Wing. More is to come!
QGC invites people across the UK to “Plant a Tree for the Jubilee” to mark Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee this year.
Head of Wildlife Club, Art and Textiles teacher Mrs Emma Brown said “All the trees will help wildlife, combat climate change and improve the School’s sustainability and environment as they mature.”
