West End leading lady Jane Quinn gave a special performance to the Junior School on Monday morning, before running a day of inspirational workshops.

Pupils benefited from Jane’s wealth of experience as she taught the pupils about the three pillars of Musical Theatre: acting, singing and movement. Whether learning about stagecraft, vocal production, movement or stage presence, everyone from Pre-Prep through to Year 6 was completely engaged throughout.

At the end of the day we all came back together to rehearse the Stampede from the Lion King and it was clear the pupils’ performances had been completely transformed.

The skills developed while learning about the world of Musical Theatre will extend beyond music and feed into every part of the children’s lives and learning: team work, listening, communication and confidence, to name a few!

Jane herself commented: “I cannot believe the positive changes seen in the girls as individuals and as ensemble. It’s a wonderful thing to witness”,
