We all turned green on Friday for our Sustainability Impact Day.
Students attended workshops at lunchtime on how to make informed choices about reducing our carbon footprint and becoming low impact citizens.
Students were invited to make a “Pledge to the Planet”, declaring what action they would be taking to drive sustainability in their lives and local communities.
Alex Green from Let’s Go Zero gave us a thought-provoking call to action in Assembly.
We raised money for green projects (Olio and our plastics recycling bin to name two) by paying to wear own green clothes (ideally second hand or repaired!) and buying home made cakes at breaktime.
Many thanks to Mrs Emma Brown, Mrs Evans and Mrs Franzen for putting together such a worthwhile day.
