We had a glorious ‘string assembly’ when our Head of Instrumental and Performances – and violinist – Miss Ross and cello teacher Mrs Dove gave a mini concert to the Junior School.
Pupils from Year 3 to 5 then had a go at playing both the cello and violin; not only was there some clear potential, but most importantly, a lot of laughter and enthusiasm from everyone involved. When Miss Ross asked what music at Walthamstow Hall meant to everyone, ‘Friendship’, ‘Joy’, ‘Communication’, ‘Happiness’ and ‘Teamwork’ were just some of their enthusiastic responses.
If your daughter would like to have lessons on either instrument, please let Miss Ross know. Next time, we will focus on woodwind and brass.
