The half term trip to Iceland was an unforgettable experience. The five day expedition packed in a huge amount in the Reykjanes Peninsula in the SW of the island. Fifty students, led by Head of Geography Mr Sullivan, saw vast waterfalls at Skogafoss and Seljalandfoss, coastal landforms at Dyrholaey and Reynishverfi, the glacier at Solheimajokull, the volcanic island of Heimay, a geothermal spa, the geysers at Strokkur – and the Northern Lights.
Many thanks to Mr Sullivan for masterminding this fantastic trip.
