Our swimmers competed against Benenden, Eastbourne and Sevenoaks in yesterday’s 12th annual Weald & Downland Trophy Tournament and won in all three age categories.
Those competing at the event at Tonbridge School were: Imogen M, Emily, Sophia, Sophie, Ruth, Gabriela, Lilia, Danielle, Maisie, Alice, Freja, Imogen S and Fern.
It was a great afternoon of competitive swimming, with many of the races decided by fine margins. The results put our swimmers top in the Junior, Intermediate and Senior age groups.
Walthamstow Hall’s Head Swimming Coach Mr Smith praised the students’ joint effort: “All of the swimmers worked collectively as a team with some pupils swimming up an age group. Congratulations to all who took part, it was truly an outstanding team effort that produced such great results. Thank you to all the parents who came along to support the swimmers on the day. Well done Team Wally.”
