Imogen is now National Schools’ Champion in 100m and 200m Breaststroke after a fantastic weekend of swimming in which she also broke two national records.

Representing Walthamstow Hall and the South East, Imogen in Y8 was competing at the English Schools’ National Inter-Divisional Swimming Championships at the Alan Higgs Centre in Coventry.

Imogen also helped her team win gold in the Junior Age Group Medley Relay and bronze in the Mixed Age Group Mixed Squadron event. Overall the South East Team came second in England, out of eight divisions – an absolutely fantastic result.

Walthamstow Hall’s Head Swimming Coach Mr Smith described Imogen’s achievements as ‘historic’; we are bowled over by your success, Imogen!

These results follow on from Imogen’s success at a regional level last month.

After astonishingly dominant performances at the London Aquatic Centre, Imogen became the Kent Junior and Open Champion for breaststroke in the 50m, 100m and 200m.

Her times were faster than everyone else’s in all other age categories, making her the Junior and Open Champion for all three distances, aged only 13, making her a ‘triple treble’ champion.
