More fantastic swimming news to report. Year 8 Imogen swam at her first British Summer Championships in Sheffield last week and came away as a double British Champion.
The British Summer Championships is an invitation only meet for the top 24 swimmers in each age/event.
On Monday, Imogen raced in the 200m Breaststroke where she won Gold and set a new personal best time of 2.33, a time which was also faster than all the girls in the two age groups above.
Four days later, Imogen returned to compete in the 100m Breaststroke where in an extremely close race she won Gold again and secured another personal best. Both of Imogen’s PBs are new County and Regional records too!
Many congratulations to Imogen on these fantastic achievements. They must surely be a perfect prelude to Imogen’s international competition in Brazil later in August for which Walthamstow Hall sends every best wish.
