Many congratulations to Year 9 Bella, who reached the final 8 in the Lawn Tennis Association’s ‘Play your way to Wimbledon’ National Finals at Wimbledon earlier this month.
‘Play your way to Wimbledon’ is the LTA’s largest mass participation tournament where winners from every county across Great Britain are invited to battle it out on the famous grass courts. Alongside over 15,000 other competitors Bella entered the competition earlier in the summer. She won the 14&U girls’ singles local qualifier in Sevenoaks and then the Kent county finals which took her to SW19. At Wimbledon Bella went on to win a further two rounds and reach the quarter final stage. Very well done Bella and every best wish for future competitions.
