The show may be over but we have the memories – and photos.
In Prayers this afternoon Ms Chamberlain asked everyone who had been involved in the Senior School production of Peter Pan to stand up, whether it was on stage, back stage, in the band or Front of House. A great many people stood up! Everyone played their part to make the six performances a wonderful experience for the packed audiences last week.
The production conveyed the magic and innocence of childhood and the poignancy of growing up. Mr Mitchell’s set was dominated by a huge gnarly, leafy tree and the array of costumes, wigs and stage props lent colour, charm and humour to the tale. Memorable moments include mermaids flipping their tails above the swelling waves in the silvery Lagoon, pesky pirates breakdancing and performing a “Pirate Rap” and a truly creepy battle cry performance from the Warriors.
