Junior School children have been helping us start celebrating Christmas with some wonderful performances in church and at School.
Children from Nursery to Year 2 performed a Nativity play to their families in the Hall on Thursday and Friday. They spoke their lines with confidence and sang with enthusiasm. There was resounding applause for them and also their teachers: Mrs Conway, Mrs Downs, Mrs Hartley, Miss Findlay and Mrs Perry who have given them so much support.
Older girls in Years 3 to 6 took part in an evening Carol Service at St John’s Church, mixing traditional carols with newer songs, among familiar Bible readings of the Nativity.
Junior School Music Lead Miss Findlay drew some beautiful performances from the girls.
They were accompanied on the piano by Deputy Head Mr Castell who described their singing as ‘angelic’, commenting that they were some of the finest young voices he had heard in a while.
