Girls took part in lots of book-related activities in the week of World Book Day.
Our Careers Leader guided Year 3 and 4 students through the process of creating a book, exploring the many professions involved in bringing a book to life, from an author’s original idea to the moment it reaches the hands of a bookseller.
Meanwhile, our Year 5 students embarked on an exciting writing challenge: imagining who they might be 30 years from now. Would they be on Earth or another planet? We can’t help but wonder if any of their ideas will one day become reality…
All students embraced the imaginative freedom of a creative writing workshop led by author Jemma Hatt, who helped them develop their own characters and storylines. To wrap up the week, students and staff enjoyed the much-anticipated annual character parade, followed by a fun-filled quiz during morning assembly.
