We’re starting the week with a literal ‘throw’ back to last term when Year 11 enjoyed two days in the Design Studio completing their large scale 3D Design pieces made of clay.
This dedicated studio time was invaluable to the students, enabling them to take their sustained pieces of work to the next level. Design teacher Mrs Mulcahy was rightly impressed by the scale and ambition of the pieces. The ceramic pieces had ample drying time over the Christmas break. The next step will be for them to have their first firing before having colour and glazes added before the second firing. We can’t wait to see the final pieces.
