Year 6 told the story of The Ugly Duckling story with great spirit in their performances of the their final play at the Junior School, ‘Honk’.
The colourful scenery creates a gorgeous rural setting for duck matriarch Ida – played with great confidence by Annabella – and her clutch of eggs.
The scene where four of them hatch is one of the standout theatrical moments of the production, surpassed only by the noisy arrival of Ugly herself – who knew Amelia could honk with such conviction?!
It’s a great ensemble piece and the girls evidently enjoy bringing their characters to life. Well done to everyone for their hard work and to Miss Philip for masterminding such a barnstorming show.
