It was a wonderful sight: the entire Senior School gathered in the Hall for Prayers for the first time in 18 months.
On our first day of the School year, Headmistress Miss Ferro described it as a “privilege” to be able to gather as a community again.
“How did you feel coming in today?” she asked. We saw a short video of a labrador let off the lead, racing ahead. “Was it like this? Or was it more a feeling of trepidation?”. We all watched Kermit interview a very nervous Cookie Monster in Sesame Street, on his first day of school. Perhaps it was a mix of feelings.
As an acorn planted in good soil can grown into a strong oak, said Miss Ferro, so every student can unfold into a true, strong individual.
After all the recent uncertainties and isolation, it is a great start to the new academic year. Have a good term everyone!
