Big excitement as our Greenpower Car had its first test drive last night. Students in the Greenpower Club have been building the electric vehicle since September and were finally able to put it through its paces on the courts behind the Mulberry Hall.
Head of Physics, Mr Hill, who leads the Greenpower Club was delighted with the power of the car’s accelerator: “it gave more of a jolt than expected” and said apart from some wheel alignment, not a huge amount needed tweaking.
The Club will ‘race’ the electric car with the Greenpower Education Trust at the historic Goodwood Motor Circuit in April.
