Many thanks to our Music Department for enabling so many of our students to shine in Friday evening’s concert in the Hall.
This is the event where our youngest Senior School joiners perform to their parents on the Wally Hall stage for the first time, in the Year 7 Choir. Led by Director of Music Mr Castell, they sang Touch The Sky, with the audience joining in for the second rendition.
Along the way we also heard from Wind Band, the Junior Chamber Ensemble, the Senior Choir, Senior Chamber Orchestra and Baby Orchestra.
Our hosts for the evening, Head Girl Sarah and Music Captain Caitlin delighted us with an effortless performance of Delibes’ Flower Duet. Pleasingly, students from younger years in KS3 were well-represented among the solo performers. We enjoyed musical numbers taken from Frozen, Mary Poppins and Matilda among others. All the money raised will be going to this year’s School charity: Home – Umoyo Community Project.
