Blackburn House
From September 2025, the Walthamstow Hall Junior School will be moving from its current location at Bradbourne Park Road, to the Senior School site. The new Junior School will be called Blackburn House and will be open to girls in Years 3-6.
This means that we will no longer offer provisions for Nursey and Key Stage 1. This decision by the School Board of Governors comes after careful consideration. It is a proactive measure that is responding to the rapidly changing independent school sector and local market demands. We pride ourselves in maintaining a high standard of care throughout the School and will never compromise on quality. By focusing our efforts on operating just one site instead of two, we can significantly reduce operating costs and allocate resources accordingly to maintain the quality of academic and pastoral care. Taking this step now ensures the long-term success of the School and we will be in a much stronger position to continue to thrive in the face of future political and economic pressures.
Being on the Senior School site, pupils at Blackburn House will benefit from access to specialised teaching facilities such as the Science block, Creative Arts room, Music block, Food room, large sports fields, 25 metre swimming pool and theatre. Class sizes will be capped so that each child will receive the care and attention that Walthamstow Hall is known for and pastoral care, academic rigour and co-curricular activities will remain a priority.
If you are ready to join us for this new and exciting chapter in our journey, we are currently accepting applications for new pupils for 2025, 2026 and 2027 in all year groups.
